Here are a few prenatal ideas to make your lady (and your) life a bit easier.

I have the least advice to give in this section because every woman and every pregnancy is unique, but hopefully some of this is helpful. Essentially anything she generally likes as a source of pampering or comfort, ramp that up as much as possible (massages, bath bombs, at home workouts, etc.).

I consider it mostly the DadBod’s job to the read the books, but the good news is there are only three you need to read: Expecting Better and the follow-up Cribsheet. Basically these books will tell you there is no data to back-up most of the pregnancy claims. The third is The Birth Partner but more on this one in the next post.

I highly recommend this wedge pillow for pregnancy workouts and this noodly one for sleeping.

In terms of aches and pains in the last trimester, the rice sock is the best option. Simply fill an old sock with uncooked rice and microwave it for a minute or two. And boom targeted pain relief. Disclaimer: Please don’t eat the rice.

Since its a pandemic and it doesn’t matter what you wear anyway, I don’t have much to say about maternity clothes except that most of her clothes can fit the entire pregnancy and most of them are a waste of money.

That said, I recommend this belly band to make normal pants fit (again pants are over but you asked), Gap maternity has the only workout clothes I could find, and really there is nothing cuter than a big bump in overalls. So splurge from Hatch or save from Gap. You choose! Rent the Runway is an ideal option for any special occasion attire or workwear but one silver lining of the pandemic is she can be as comfortable as she likes.
